About Us

Our vision is to be a leader in decreasing the prison population by supporting and empowering those who are most affected by crime, trauma, and incarceration. We will treat everyone with dignity and respect and will not pass judgement, as we seek justice and redemption.

Services

Pre-Trial Services

Pre-Trial Services are for individuals who have been arrested and have a pending felony conviction in the state of Virginia. While our main goal is to limit contact with the criminal and juvenile legal systems, we provide services to try to help reduce the number of felony convictions in the state.

Pre-Release Services

Pre-Release Services are for individuals who are currently incarcerated in a Virginia Department of Corrections facility who need assistance to prepare for returning home. We strongly encourage individuals to apply who are within 6-12 months of release from incarceration from a Virginia Department of Corrections facility.

Re-Entry Services

Re-entry services are for individuals who have been released from a Virginia Department of Corrections facility or convicted of a felony within the past 12 months. Re-entry services require a 6-12 month commitment from the participant.

Harm Reduction Services

Harm reduction services connect individuals to Narcan training, distribution of Narcan and various other harm reduction support to anyone who seeks it, regardless of use status. We encourage any and all individuals who are concerned about substance use in our community to be trained as a resource for others in need. We also offer referrals to substance use and behavioral health programs, as needed.

Advocacy Training

Through our advocacy training program, we teach justice informed language, accurate information regarding mass incarceration, crime and trauma and we train participants on best practices to engage in policy impacting criminal legal systems. The goal is to build a strong advocacy team for media training and contact with legislators year round.

After Care Services

After care services are for those who have been arrest and conviction free for more than (12) twelve months and need support services specific to being justice-impacted.
